Our Firm

The Mission of The Huffines Company is to leave a legacy of unspoiled wetlands and native South Carolina habitat for future generations to love and enjoy…while preserving some of the most significant and historic properties in the nation.

At The Huffines Company Brokerage Firm we leverage relationships built over 35 years to benefit each client. Under the guidance of Calvert Huffines the professional sales staff at The Huffines Company offer in-depth knowledge of the Southern Plantation, Hunting Property, High-end Acreage and Luxury Estate real estate market, extensive sales experience and the compatibilities of value-added partnerships. It is because of our relationships that repeat business and referrals remain our most successful source of sales.

At The Huffines Company Appraisal Firm, we value your property as our own. With over 35 years of experience, Huffines Appraisal Firm specializes in appraising high-end acreage, timberland, Southern Plantations and Luxury Estates… with a special emphasis on conservation easement appraisals.

Calvert Huffines was recognized for his pioneering work teaching others the proper and unique techniques of measuring the donation values of conservation easements. For these efforts, he received The Land Conservation Award from the SC Wildlife Federation.

About Calvert W. Huffines, Founder and Managing Member

Real Estate broker, appraiser, plantation manager, conservationist… Calvert W. Huffines wears many hats. His accomplishments in these areas over the past 35 years are too numerous to name.

At the helm of one of the Lowcountry’s premier real estate companies, Huffines prefers to focus his unique abilities on the sale of large high-end acreage, historically significant Southern Plantations, Luxury Estates and prestigious hunting properties.  As a valuable client asset and to support his hands-on sales and marketing efforts, Calvert Huffines has cultivated an extensive network of value-added partnerships.  He leverages these unique relationships to benefit each client with the sale of their property.

As real estate entrepreneur and conservationist, Huffines was among the first in the Lowcountry to recognize the unique opportunity for environmental preservation.  His pioneering work in conservation easements was instrumental in the preservation of thousands of acres of South Carolina wilderness to be enjoyed for generations to come. Calvert Huffines was recognized for his outstanding achievements by the SC Wildlife Federation with their prestigious Land Conservation Award.

Calvert Huffines shares his enthusiasm for the great outdoors and his affection for hunting, fishing and sailing with his lovely wife, Madeline and his two grown children: Hannah, a publicist in Atlanta, GA. and Cubby, a maintenance engineer on Edisto Island.
