Historic Orange Grove Place

Orange Grove Place, located on 12 acres in downtown Walterboro, SC was an interesting sale for our company. Working earlier with the owner, we negotiated a conservation easement for her to protect the property with The Historic Beaufort Foundation. The main house and three guest cottages were then sold to a couple whose husband’s work included many major engineering projects throughout the World, while the wife is an Urban Planner. His current, and last assignment, has been to engineer the connection of the Union Station and Grand Central railroad lines in New York with most of the work being done underground. The proceeds of the sale are dedicated to local arts organizations, and directed through the Community Foundation in Charleston. Another record sale and most satisfying result.
